Stolen blue bells and (no) other confessions

Hellebore uncropped

“It’s spring fever… You don’t quite know what it is you do want, but it just fairly makes your heart ache, you want it so!”

-  Mark Twain

Today I find myself returning in my mind to how I experienced Spring in my childhood:  sweet colorful jelly beans, my innocent, unblemished heart swollen with love for family and friends, and blue bells stolen from neighbors on my walks home from school.

The image to the left, I intended to to crop to include only the top half, but was amused by the uncropped image. Below, a few more spring scenes for those of you who like that sort of thing. Happy, happy awakening, Darling Readers!

It was one of those March days when the sun shines hot and the wind blows cold:  when it is summer in the light, and winter in the shade.

- Charles Dickens

Thanks for your pink tolerance. There won’t be so much next time. That’s my promise to you.

    • Oh, I so agree, Anna. It’s a magical time for all ages. Thanks for your comment, Dear. Give the boys a kiss from me.

  2. Chewy goodness! I’m just catching up on my juxt, so just seeing these – they look like (much more beautiful versions of) the shots I posted last night! Gorgeous, Jen!

    • There’s nothing like a good chewy picture, eh!? Glad you like them, Heidi. Thanks so much for your comment. xo
