Hey guys, today we will do something unusual: an app review.
Serious.
Why?
Everything starts from there, right?
from the shot with our device and the results we achieve.
We want to talk about “645pro“. Some say it is the ultimate app for mobile photography, all the controls, manual settings, are at your fingertips.
Ok. We tried it: great app, honest!
spot metering: wow!
display that shows data recovery: fantastic!
Live preview of effects: superb!
but ….
Yeah, there is a but.
Aside from the fact you don’t get the chance to shoot using the volume shutter button, which is something very useful when you do streetphotography, do you REALLY need anything else to shoot with?
We think not. You can shoot with this, or with Camera+, ProCamera or God knows how many apps out there.
But your Iphone comes with a native camera.
Pretty good at what it should do. Shoot pictures, possibly good ones.
That’s the point in the end.
No matter what apps or how many technical features you buy, your idea and your “feeling the scene” right before shooting will always be the result that really counts.
And you do that ONLY with eyes™ and stomach™.

Alcuni dicono che è l’applicazione definitiva per la mobile photography, tutti i controlli, i setting manuali, sono a portata di mano.
Ok. L’abbiamo testata: grande applicazione, giuriamo!

display che mostra i dati di ripresa? Fantastico!
Anteprima dal vivo di effetti? Superba!
ma ….
Sì, c’è un ma…
Tralasciando parte il fatto che non si ha la possibilità di scattare utilizzando il pulsante volume laterale, che è qualcosa di molto utile quando devi fare streetphotography, abbiamo realmente bisogno di qualcos’altro per scattare le nostre foto con iphone?
Noi pensiamo di no. Puoi scattare con questa app, o magari con Camera+, ProCamera o Dio solo sa quante altre applicazioni in commercio.
Ma il vostro Iphone è GIA’ dotato di una fotocamera nativa.
Abbastanza buona per quello che dovrebbe fare. Catturare immagini, possibilmente BUONE immagini.
Questo è il punto, alla fine.
Non importa quale sia il numero di applicazioni o caratteristiche tecniche si acquistino, in realtà la vostra idea e il vostro “sentire la scena” poco prima dello scatto sarà sempre il risultato che conta davvero.
E questo lo fai solo con gli occhi e con lo stomaco.

About your comments of 640pro, I agree with you, as I commented you before on Path, I prefer to play randomly and there are more than enough possibilities with so many apps, than 640pro isn’t needed.

I saw a lot of comments on twitter and blogs where people said this app would be a ‘game changer’. After playing with it, I disagree. It’s just another camera app that takes actually more time to work than most apps (because I had to read all the instructions). I went right back to using the native camera after a few days. I am all for simplicity with my photo taking and the 645 pro is certainly not simple enough for me!
