Artist Statement
I am a mother and working artist in Central Kentucky. I discovered photography in college while studying the fine arts. I shot exclusively in black and white then and years later when I discovered the camera on the iPhone I went back to my roots. I love black and white because it forces you to look at the details. There are no distractions by color and noise. It forces the image to stand on its own, to move the viewer solely on subject matter. For me, life and love are in the details. Black and white forces those to the surface.
