Dan Marcolina (@marcolina) the author of iPhone Obsessed will be speaking at the LA mobile arts festival Friday, August 24. In honor of the festival the iPhone Obsessed Companion is free for the week and is avaliable for download to the ipad in the iTunes store.

“Dan Marcolina is the owner of Phila-based Marcolina Design Inc. Founded 20 years ago, the same year Adobe Photoshop was released, his passion for design and digital tools has spurred the company to keep reinventing themselves and in the process have become recognized leaders in print, web, video design and now Marcolina Slate llc, introduces touchable design for mobile devices. Through their varied work for clients like Adobe, Business Wire and Discovery Channel they have been featured in dozens of books and magazines including CA, Graphis and The Macintosh Bible.
Having always used digital imagery as a corner stone of his design process along with shooting personal work in many traditional formats his images have appeared in many venues worldwide. Dan recently has found a perfect bridge between these two mediums, iPhoneography.
This new obsession has reinvigorated his love for both photography and visual experimentation, inspiring him to Author a recently publish book (Peachpit Press) and App (iTunes) series called iPhone Obsessed. This iPhone Photography training duo is not only being be called the “Best iPhotography resource available” but also “The worlds first truly interactive book”.
