“Luggage”: A Showcase of @samiswell
I came across Sam’s work a while ago now, and then I lost him – I forgot what his IG user name was and I couldn’t find his feed again. Well to my relief I got reacquainted with his work again this week and I found the angel wings that had initially drawn me to it. So this week I’d like to showcase one of his images that I founds a while back in amongst the #wearejuxt tag. I advise you to go and check out his amazing art at @samiswell on IG.
“Your luggage is tying you down. Someone or something is holding you on ground. Waiting for your ride to come. Take the free gift and you will no longer be numb.”
“Luggage” is a speed painting I did on my livestream.com/samuelgrayart
channel. I always just pick up my wacom tablet pen and start painting from scratch. I need to thank my followers for being so supportive of my work and inspiring me. I first started using instagram as a fun thing to do when I was on the pot or driving in the sun. I didn’t really see instagram as a tool that would ignite my creativity and bring new friendships from around the world. I have come to take this app somewhat seriously over the past few months. I must admit that I do a terrible job at responding to the love I receive on IG, but it is the most rewarding thing for me. My response and attempt to give back is by holding livestreams which is where I show my creative process and connect with my followers. It has been a joy doing it and I hope it doesn’t stop. You can check them out at livestream.com/samuelgrayart
and I also post a livestream image each time I go ”LIVE”! It is a blessing to be able to create art and to have the opportunity to leave a lasting impression. My goal with my work is to love others. Hopefully one day I will be able to say that I have seen the world and fought the good fight.
