Still Life Lounge Showcase
For this week’s retrospect I chose Dino’s photo because of the gorgeous contrast between the dark background and fruit itself. It is so delicate, yet exotic tucked away in the papery husk. A shot like this is what the lounge is all about, using everyday items to capture beauty. Thank you Dino!
I bought a box of Physalis fruits for one of the challenges. I was looking for something different, the cherry sized fruits are inside these papery cases. I had to tear the top right on open to show the fruit. There is a garden variety where the outsides are orange, commonly known as Chinese Lanterns. I took the original version in Hipstamatic, Hormbecker lens & Ina’s 1982 film ( my favourite combo these days). I think I then grunged it up in Scratchcam. – Dino, @dinopi
