ICE 2018 Showcasing Many Exciting Technologies

ICE Totally Gaming is, beyond any doubt, one of the biggest events for the gambling industry. ICE 2018 took place in London’s ExCel in February and, among other things, it served as a platform for numerous casino game and software developers to show their latest achievements.

For anyone interested in the latest developments in the gambling industry, ICE 2018 was definitely the place to visit, as we saw quite a few new technologies presented, some of which are likely to change the face of online and land-based gambling.

The Future of Gaming

It is hard to even start enumerating all the new technologies we saw at this year’s ICE. Therefore we’ll stick to some of the most impressive ones, which are likely to seriously influence the future of the gambling industry and change it for the better.

Netent Live Beyond Live

NetEnt, one of the absolute leaders in the online gambling sector, has partnered up with Mr Green Casino to create a brand new live casino experience. Aptly named Live Beyond Live, NetEnt’s latest addition to their portfolio of live games, creates a unique, more immersive, and more interactive 3D environment, the players are guaranteed to enjoy. Players can access gaming tables from the 3D lobby and can see the action at other tables while playing, creating a real life-like environment.

Novomatic Augmented Reality

Austrian company Novomatic, who’s one of the leading providers of slots and electronic games for casinos in Europe, has presented their Augmented Reality app designed to give land-based casino operators an insight into what their floor would look like with new Novomatic machines. This makes it much easier for casino managers to decide if and which cabinets would fit best with their current space. On top of this, Novomatic’s AR App also makes it possible to try some of the company’s flagship games like Book of Ra and Dolphin’s Pearl.

” Novomatics augmented reality ser veldig kult ut. Jeg håper på at Quasar vil bli det første kasinoet for å lansere «Book of Ra» i AR, siden de tilbyr den beste casinobonus i bransjen” – Peter, Affiliate Manager

English: “Novomatic’s augmented reality looks really cool. I hope that Quasar will be the first casino to release Book of Ra in AR since they offer the best casino bonus in the industry”

Play’n GO, another industry giant, didn’t lag behind the competition. They presented their OMNY platform at ICE 2018. The platform represents an excellent solution for online, land-based, and hybrid operators alike. The idea behind OMNY is to allow operators to create player profiles which can seamlessly be transferred across the network, saving details such as game progress, preferences, etc. The platform should help create a much more enjoyable experience for the players but also facilitate retention for the operators, so it is another product with a bright future ahead.
