NetEnt’s 2018 Roadmap – What It Means For Mobile Gamblers
2017 is almost over! We know, we can’t believe it either. It feels like just yesterday we were enjoying barbecues and balmy nights, but now Christmas adverts are upon us and we can’t leave the house without at least three extra layers. A new year, however, means new slots and the team over at NetEnt have already let us in on some of their plans.
NetEnt has recently released their 2018 Q1 roadmap, which outlines all the new games they’ll be releasing in January, February and March next year. Each and every NetEnt roadmap is exciting news for slots fans, as the brand produce some of the highest quality games in the industry. However, this one is more thrilling than usual, because NetEnt is giving us a grand total of five new games.
The New Slots
Here are all the new slots players can expect from the brand in the first three months of 2018.
- Twin Spin Deluxe – 10th January
Twin Spin Deluxe is the sequel to the brand’s highly successful 2013 release called Twin Spin. The new installment will feature the brand’s innovative Cluster Pays mechanism, alongside amazing retro-inspired graphics. - Universal Monsters: The Phantom’s Curse – 24th January
2017 brought us the amazing Phantom of the Opera slot, yet in January 2018 we’ll be eagerly anticipating this follow-up title. NetEnt’s branded slots are always amazing and so we’re expecting some great new features and imagery. - Fruit Spin – 8th February
Fruit Spin offers players NetEnt’s take on the traditional fruity slot, however, don’t be expecting anything too conventional. Fruit Spin will be packed with bonus features including stacked symbols, extra spins, giant wilds and lucky wheels that have the potential to give you some handsome multipliers.
- Asgardian Stones – 22nd February
From the title, we’re expecting that this slot will deliver a slice of NetEnt’s Scandinavian heritage. Asgard is a god from Norse religion and we can’t wait to see what beautiful illustrations the brand conjure up to accompany this mythical game. - Miami Pursuit – 22nd March
Bringing up the rear, Miami Pursuit is the last of the new slots mentioned in NetEnt’s Q1 roadmap. We’re not sure what to expect from this title, but we’re hoping for a bit of 80’s glamour. Think fast cars, pastel colors, sunglasses and undercover cops.
How Will These New Slots Impact Players?
As we mentioned earlier, receiving news of new NetEnt slots is always exciting, as we know that the brand is capable of producing some of the best mobile games around. NetEnt leads the way when it comes to innovation and design, and so all eyes are on the brand to see how they’ll shake things up in 2018.
From the five titles we’ve listed above, we think that The Phantom’s Curse could be the one to get most excited about. This is not only because of its predecessor, The Phantom of the Opera, was one of the brand’s best slots in 2017, but because it’s a branded title. NetEnt always pushes the boat out when it comes to blockbuster games, meaning we can expect inventive design and, hopefully, a plethora of brand new gameplay features.
That being said, we’re also very keen to play Twin Spin Deluxe and Fruit Spin. Some of NetEnt’s most popular slots are pared-back, retro-inspired titles and they always seem to be able to toe the line between minimalistic and entertaining with ease. Just think about the great stardom of Starburst! All in all, we can’t wait for every single one of these new games to go live, and you’ll be able to find them at any good NetEnt casino in the new year.
